Paint the Sunset or Paint the Farm

Paint the sunset this Friday 4-8.

POP Friday, September 13th 2019 Paintout (DATE CHANGED!) Paint the sunset 4-8pm, have a hotdog, bring a side dish or dessert to share.  


Woodbury artist, Linda Leidel, is offering up her Westward-facing hilltop view for a paintout/cookout this Friday night.  POP will supply the hotdogs/buns/condiments, painters are asked to bring a dish to share and a drink.  RSVP, if you are interested, to Ellie Boyd, so we can figure out # of hotdogs and papergoods.  203-429-4356 (Messages)

Directions:    
Address: 45 Terrell Road, Woodbury, CT 06798.  

From Woodbury take Route 64 towards Middlebury.  At top of hill where Woodbury Knoll Apartments are take a left on to Tuttle Road. About 1/2 mile in take your first right on to Terrell Road.  #45 is the second driveway on the right.  It’s a 3/10 mile long driveway. A painted sign with 45 and an orange Swedish horse is on the plaque.  There will be a balloon on the Terrell road sign and at the driveway.  

The event is free and open to artists of all skill levels to come and sketch or paint —no instruction will be provided. Artists should bring an easel and art supplies.   Bathroom available.  No rain date.

Final Paintout for Season

Saturday, October 19th-- Weston CT
Grab your easel, paints, and friends and head to Lachat Town Farm on Saturday, October 19th.  John Forgione has made arrangements for POP painters and friends to spend the day painting at the farm, with a display and sale of the day’s work in the barn. This event is free and open to all artists, to gather and paint outside, in a beautiful farm setting with 18th c (1770) pre-Revolutionary home and farm buildings and vistas.  Lachat is offering this great location and friendly atmosphere, and is requesting a 30% donation from the artists if any sales result from hanging in the barn.  [See video link below.]  At sunset, wine, cheese and a bon fire may be on offer for artists who exhibit starting at 5:00 p.m

No instruction. Bring your own supplies, snacks, lunch, folding chair.  Parking is in the designated parking area in adjacent field. Portapotties and water on site.  No smoking.
